So we moved into our "forever" home back in September. Of course when you are frantically house hunting you are never focused on the truly important parts of the home. Everyone is always checking out to be sure that it's a sturdy home, in a good neighborhood, and good school districts. If you're anything like us, we were really wanting a home with a large yard, this is a painful task in the bay area of California. When I went to the open house, I immediately fell in love with the home, the yard, the neighborhood, EVERYTHING! I was even more shocked when our offer was actually accepted. Once we moved in, we quickly realized that the home as a lot of space (for a 1,700 SF home), but it was poorly used. I will discuss our first kitchen project in another post, but we definitely had to tackle the closets. My husband's closet in our master had nothing, no bar or anything. Over the Christmas holiday I discovered this website called Easyclosets.com and quickly began designing closets for our home. After being walked through how to measure the spaces, I input all my dimensions and they generated a suggested design. After this, you are allowed to go in and personalize the areas that you feel need it. For example, if they generated shelving, you can go in and change it to actual pull out drawers, or possibly a built in hamper system. They have little notes that help you along the way and give you tips and tricks to design the best closet solution for your lifestyle.
