RUSTIC/INDUSTRIAL SHELVING

I am obsessed with these floating shelves. In a matter of an afternoon you can change the entire vibe of a space with these awesome shelves. I have done them in two houses now, and even left them when we sold our townhouse because the new owners loved them. In this round, I did an interesting stagger pattern because of our odd ceiling vaulting. I used a walnut gel stain on these pine 2x12's. Each shelf is 30" in length and we used galvanized plumbing piping which you can find at your local Home Depot plumbing aisle. In this instance, I ended up using some "High Heat" matte black spray paint I had laying around to finish them off. Since we did these shelves, they now make "Decorative" galvanized piping. I HIGHLY recommend these because they come in plastic wrapping, instead of having a bar code sticker that you have to try and remove. Plus, they come in a really nice galvanized grey color. I'll post the photos from our new house when I get the chance!
